I love Heidi Gibson rings they are stunning! Does the Etsy seller have good reviews and a return policy? If so depending on how much less, if a lot, I would go with Etsy! I love the design but would 100 percent do a knock off lol. Goodluck making your decision and I would love to see it when you get it, whichever you choose. What stone are you going to put in it?

Kiara :  I would go for it! Her reviews are great on Etsy and people have posted their pics of the actual rings. If it’s significantly cheaper I would do it.

This is one from a review

Kiara :  oh yeah I see the differences! I am the same way and would have the same concerns! Maybe she can do custom if you show her exactly what you want and make sure she is selling you the clarity and color diamonds you want. Your fiancé sounds awesome too and congratulations on your engagement!

For an engagement ring that would be worn every day, especially if you’re likely to notice the little differences, I’d spend the extra and get the original. Not only does this help the artist who created the design, but for your own peace of mind, you’d know you had the “real thing”- I’ve seen a lot of people spend just as much as they would for one nice, original as they did chasing after perfect replicas

While normally I would agree about “stealing” an original design, these arent exactly original.

These are called ballerina rings, and started in the 20s.

Here’s one from 1960. Looks similar to a “Heidi Gibson” to me! Im sure if I searched I would find ones even closer. I think she just made them popular again.

Even the same design will get different result with different artist, sooo if you fell in love with heidi, get the heidi!!! PS: I tried to copy the tiffany knife edge by going custom route (which suppose to be simple) and even so I can tell the difference and sometimes it makes me crazy lol..

Honestly I don’t see why ppl are crazy over these designs.  I find them very old fashioned and out dated plus the price of those specs of diamonds are the price of a solitaire (depending on specs obv) that you could get. I find it to be a very grandma style ring.  Plus imagine how grimy that ring would get over time.
