I love these threads. Seeing the different designs from other eras is so fun!

My ring was inherited by my grandma from her aunt (so it was my great-great aunt’s). We figure it is a 1930s/40s piece. Mr.ND’s ring is his grandfather’s ring that his grandma gave us as a gift. I think that is from the 1940s/1950s. I love that we have pieces from our families as we build our own.

Its not my engagement ring but I’ll be wearing this ring when I get married in 2 1/2 weeks it used to be my grandmothers and now belong to my mom – whenever I think of my grandmother I always see her hands and that ring on it – so its my way of having her there with me on my big day. One day it will be mine – though not a day I’m looking forward to

I love these threads Smile

My ring was my FI’s grandmother’s. His great-grandfather had the diamond set into the ring as a gift for his daughter. It’s an Old Mine Cut and I believe the setting is from the 20’s or 30s.

@1920cottagegirl:  Wow what an awesome ring! Could you post a picture of yourself wearing it? I’d love to see it on your finger. I love this thread a lot. I have a vintage ring from the 1920’s, but it is not an heirloom from a relative. It must be cool having jewelry like that with a story!
