- Wedding: August 2010
Well, I have been a wedding bee stalker ever since I got engaged. I haven’t yet posted anything until now. I figured I would start with my favorite thing, the dress.
When I first started looking, I went to three different stores and tried on all different types of dresses, but nothing felt right, and I wondered if I would even have that feeling. I went to all the stores in Columbus, and decided that I would trek down to the “Bridal District” just outside of Cincinnati about an hour and a half away from home. The first place we went, I selected a few dresses that I thought I would like, then spotted a dress that I knew I LOVED and was utterly disappointed when the lady helping me told me the price. More than double my limit. I sadly moved on. As I was trying on dresses that I really didn’t like, I kept thinking about the dress out of my price range. I asked the lady if I could try it on, you know, just for fun. Well, once I put it on I knew I had o have it, but I wasn’t sure how to get it. There was no photography allowed, so when the lady left the room, I asked my sister to sneak a photo so that I could look for the dress online. Before she could grab the camera, the lady had returned, (dang it) but with good news. She offered me the dress off the rack for more than half off the price! I couldn’t believe it. I was speechless, and then I said “OK!” Although it was still a little over budget, I felt it was ok to spend a little more, after all this was THE dress.
So here it is:
