Welcome! Just wanted to say I’m most likely getting married in Monmouth County, thereabouts, also – his family is in Farmingdale/Howell and we’ll probably do it up there.
We haven’t started venue shopping for real yet – we’re trying to pick a season to get married first, but it will be summer/fall/winter 2010 – are venues starting to book up for 2010 or will we be okay waiting another 6 months??

You can check out NJ Wedding Guild. It is a new service that you can use when picking your wedding professionals. They will sit down with you (or you can do it over the phone), give them your criteria, budget, preferences, etc. they will find the vendors who match your specifications, criteria and budget. They are nonprofit, have no special interest in referring anybody in particular (meaning no kick-backs from vendors that they refer). I don’t remember the phone number, but their site is http://www.myweddingguild.com
