Hello All!
This is my introduction to the Bee. I just wanted to come post pics of me in my future wedding gown!! I was sooooo excited when I got the call from the bridal salon that the sample gown had come in about 2 months early!!
So to give you a quick synopsis: I am almost what you would consider to be the anti-bride!! Well maybe not that bad, but im not at all interested in what would be considered traditional. I and NOT a princess bride. My venue is an art museum, we are having a cocktail reception on a Thursday evening. We have come up with very chic and out of the box ways to celebrate our special day. I want my gown to be more fashion-forward, chic, and couture-inspired rather than being typical bridal. I actually really wanted a short dress!!
When I saw the new Spring 2011 Watters collection I absolutely fell in LOVE with “Uliana”. The gown is PERFECT for me. Its sexy, chic, fashion-forward, lightweight (getting married outside in the summer), and incredibly budget friendly! Its only $740!!!! I called around and found a salon that had it on order to come in for inventory but was told it wouldnt be in until about February. But today I got a call that it was in!! I rushed to the salon and tried it on!! Its definitely THE ONE!! Tell me what you think?? Ive added the sash just to see what it would look like. If I go with a sash I would get it in either gray or purple…..
Here’s the Uliana on the runway…..

And here’s Uliana on Me!!!

Sooooo what do ya think? Would you wear a short dress or a high-low?

That dress is wonderful. Great choice. I love the pockets. I feel the sash may be a little much, IMO. Congrats on the great find!!

That is one amazing dress. I also love the sash you added to it. It gives it a really nice accent color. I am so jealous of your great find.

I like the look of this high/low dress. The train gives it a bridal look without being traditional – I think it definitely gives you the look you are going for. As for the sash, I might recommend a gray/silver color for a bit more sheen.

I think it’s great. If you go for the sash, are you also keeping the flowers? I find it kind of pushes them up to a less natural place.

Love the dress on you. Are you wearing those shoes too? I love the whole ensemble. And you look totally look like you just walked off the runway at Fashion Week!

I could never pull off a dress like that (not my thing, and I think I’m too short for it to look good), but it looks awesome on you! Congrats! I think the sash is maybe a little much with those other flowers on it, but it’s up to you 🙂
