Nice thread 🙂

Here’s mine:

DONE:

Venue picked, booked and deposit paid – the venue includes catering (have chosen menu) DJ and basic decor.

Dress picked.

Cake booked and “paid for” (my aunt is a professional cake maker so I got it for free).

Bridal party chosen (I think lol – I MIGHT add more people but unsure)

Wedding rings both bought (may need to be resized but will wait til about July)

Chosen theme

Chosen colours

Got marriage liscence.

Registrar booked and deposit paid.

TO DO:

Groom & groomsmen clothing

Pick grooms party

Draw up a guest list

Send invitations

Pick bridesmaid dress

Pick page boy outfit

Pick shoes

Pick wedding jewelry

Flowers

Order & pay for dress (a gift from my sister in law)

Photographer – should be done very soon, have the money as it’s a gift from my grandmother.

Choose the cake (despite it being booked and paid for already lol)

Pay the remainder of registrar fees

Pay the remainder of the venue

Decide on the rest of the decor

Choose music

Choose readings/people to read

Decide on hairstyle/find someone to do it on a Sunday etc

Sort out honeymoon

Wow I actually have quite a bit to do eek!

errrything’s done EXCEPT: i need to order my wedding ring (it has to be custom-made), dress fittings, engagement photos, put Save-The-Date Cards in mailbox, put together invites, follow up with bridal party on attire (they’re wearing whatever they want.. i just need to make sure the dudes actually own suits), book officiant, 2nd and 3rd menu tastings, and flowers (DIY from trader joe’s day or two before the wedding).  i think that’s about it..

thanks for this thread!  it actually reminded me of a few things i have coming up on my to-do list!

@kishakish: at least you have your dress!! AND your caterer!! AND your DJ!

I was happy we finally figured out our date/venue/and photographer.

Going dress shopping is driving me nuts!! I still haven’t found the one. Hopefully will do that this month as well as make those Save-The-Date Cards.

Yikes!!

As of today we have sent out STD postcards (to most people, not eveyone got one in case they have to be cut from the guest list 🙁 )

We have also booked a photographer and sent her the deposit.

And that’s it. Other than me spending copious amounts of time reading wedding boards online Embarassed

Oh and I’ve cut a crap load of paper circles to attempt a paper bouquet. Not that food, booze, officiant, venue, a dress, a suit for him, etc. aren’t all important but really, I need the circles. Oh gawd I fail at weddingness.

I feel slightly behind in comparison…

So far we have booked ceremony and reception venue, includes the caterer, photographer is booked (friend of family), DJ is booked (friend), my dress is bought, Bridesmaids dresses, and groomsmaid dress(yes, like a bridesmaid but for the groom =D) bought, invitations are designed just need to get them printed, rings bought.

Still need cake (think we know who just need to book it), flowers, decor/centerpieces, attendant gifts, send out invites, dress alterations, pick out tux for guys, escort cards, favors, figuring out ceremony and first dance music, makeup and hair for day of, shoes…i think thats about it

Overall i feel good about where we are at.

Anyone have any suggestions for floral arrangements and table decor for a navy blue, light blue and white color scheme???

We booked a venue for ceremony and reception, picked a justice of the peace, got our rings, ordered invitations….and there’s still a lot to do!  Flowers, cake and dress shopping are next on my list.

I’ve booked the venue (includes cake, so I don’t have to worry about that…), booked the DJ, booked the photographer, I’ve got names for officiants, bought my dress, sent Save the Dates, and started looking for bridesmaids dresses. Whew!

Upcoming tasks include securing room blocks, and transportation.
