Hey ladies! I’m here in Raleigh and just got engaged last month. I can’t believe how many blogs there are out there. My two favs so far are this one and Style Me Pretty. I’m going to "try" to be a DIY Bride on some things but the one thing I know I need to lock down soon is a reputable photographer. I have the venue booked and now I need to focus on that…

Has anyone had any experience with Luster Studios? It was at the top of my google search when I typed in "Raleigh wedding photography" but I don’t know where else to look… Maybe there are some other recommendations before I actually go and meet with people?

I’m getting married in 5 weeks in Greensboro.  I currently live in CLT and have grown up in NC.  I can’t help much with vendors in Asheville but I do have 2 friends who have gotten and are getting married in Topsail Island and Wilmington as well.   With the mountains and fall weddings…keep in mind the leaves turn faster there than in the middle of the state.  mid to late september is best if you are trying to get the leaf color but keep in mind it’s top tourist season too so rooms may be expensive for your guests.

Hi girls! I’m a Chicago native who loves the North Carolina beaches! We are getting married on Bald Head Island at a beach house next June. We just found a wonderful wedding planner named Amy Frazier! PM me if you are looking for a planner and are getting married anywhere from Wilmington to Myrtle Beach!

Also, let me know if you have any vendor recommendations for that area!

I am in love with this WeddingBee site.  I just discovered it a few days ago.  I am living in the DC area as a kindergarten teacher.  My fiance and I are getting married at Bald Head Island’s Country Club July 10, 2010.  Our ceremony will be held on the ocean terrace, dinner in the main dining room, and dancing back out on the terrace.  We love it!  If any of you are planning a wedding on the island I would love to compare vendors and whatnot.  Here are some pics of our wedding site.

Hi yall

I know this thread is a little old but I’m hoping someone subscribing to this thread can help! My girls are planning a mountain weekend for my bachelorette party in January.  We’ll be staying at a friend’s mountain house for the weekend but plan to go into Asheville (about 45 minutes drive) for Saturday day/night. Normally I am the planner in the group, and since most of the girls aren’t very familiar with the area, I wanted to see if I could get some good suggestions on restaurants, activities, day spas, bars, etc in Asheville area. I would love some help!

Thanks!
