What about getting the Shannon in rose gold? I really like the style ring that you already have but getting it in rose gold would make it different than what you have! I like the lily too, it’s very unique and feminine, it’s just not particularly my style so it’s hard for me to vote for it! They are both gorgeous, and I have a ring from rosados box and they are incredible! It is very durable and beautiful in person.

mrsrodross:  I have wanted platinum my whole life….or at least teen years up until a month ago. I met with the man my Girlfriend is going to get my engagement ring from and I told him of my desire and he told me that eventually platinum’s shiny finish goes away and becomes more of a brushed looking finish. I vote gold all the way now.

That’s my 10 cents. Do what you like best but that is what I was told.

mrsrodross:  I hadn’t either! I was Sooooo upset!

She hasn’t yet, but my ring size and preferred style that my jeweller and I went over when I visited, is missing from her drawer at my place. So soon I guess. 🙂 I will defs be posting once it happens.

I really like that platinum ring too, it’s probably my top pick of the ones you posted. He just warned me with wear and tear the shine goes away and while it isn’t a bad thing, it just has to be something I’d still like and I figured it I probably wouldn’t like a brushed style ring for myself.

Rose gold in 14K, is very durable, and can hold up to a lifetime of daily wear. Platinum definitely holds stones more securely, but inspecting your ring, and getting the prongs checked fairly regularly by a reputable jeweler, should be more than enough if you choose rose gold. I have two rose gold rings from the 1880’s and both have all of their original stones.

lesbimarried:  Platinum can get a patina on it which changes the look, but it can be easily buffed back to it’s original shininess by a jeweller. I have platinum ering and wedding band and I would never go any other way now.

I love the Lilly in rose gold. Think it is one of the most beautiful rings I have ever seen!
