After doing some online research and seeing a Bee post on how to make your own brooch necklace I decided to go with a bold statement for my neck piece. I like the elegant look they create, but also ads some modern flare. And since my wedding is going to be an eclectic mix of modern meets mid-century, I want to give some drama and be a tad bit gaughty but not go overboard.
I’m a crafty person, but time is running out and the list of things to do is getting longer so I found an etsy.com vendor, http://www.etsy.com/people/delicatecreationsbym, who was willing to let me send her the beautiful brooch I found online and she is making the necklace for me at a phenominal price. All together this entire project is going to cost me $60 and I don’t have to buy any supplies, learn a new skill or loose an entire day trying to figure out how to solder metal and not burn myself – lol.
Take a look at the first round of pics of my necklace. We are still playing with the strand amounts and sizes. I TOTALLY AM IN LOVE with the brooch! However, I’m not sure how many strands will look the best or if the pearl sizes should alternate. What do you guys think…
