So we are stuggling with paying off some things. We already sent out our Save-The-Date Cards, and already have our invites completed. We have given a deposit to everyone but still need about 2700 to finish paying everyone off and buying the last of the little things (FI ring, tuxs, table numbers, seating chart, etc)
What do I do? We even put up an add on craigslist for a roommate. We have nothing to sell, and quit going out to eat, getting hair done, getting nails done. I think we ran out of options. We cant get approved for a loan, and are starting to lose hope.
We can’t push back the wedding since everyone already took the day out of work. I’m thinking of asking my grandmother for a loan although she gave me 2000 for school tuition and fees and Im scared shell say no. I want her to cosign a loan for me (because then we can get it) but since she lives in assisted living she can’t have her name on loans or money things since she isn’t allowed to have it.

you can get a ring for $20; seating charts and table numbers make yourself for just the cost of paper ($5 maybe); and the tux is free if you have groomsmen renting also
the important thing is cutting costs wherever you can.

You could get a second job. Or, scale back the catering and alcohol. Or, simplify the cake design so that it doesn’t cost as much to make. Buy a stand-in ring for your Fiance. Cut down the cost of flowers by not doing bouts or corsages.

That is exactly why I started very early getting things and also made a strict rule that I will not get anything that I can’t pay for right then and there. I would say get a second job or cut back on some things for the wedding.

Yeah, I’m thinking of getting a second job. Ive been doing an extra day at my job now, but my only problem is is that I dont have a set schedule. Maybe Dunkin Donuts will hire me for a bit haaa. I’m desperate.

Start looking to see where you can cut back. Start with the decorations. I agree with the PP that a stand in ring can work. If your FH already owns a decent suit skip buying the tux or you could rent one. You could do your own hair and makeup on the day or get a friend to fo it. You can easily make seating cards. escort cards, table numbers, menus etc. at home using your printer and online templates.
