Stats look good and it looks lovely on your hand. If it is nice and sparkly and you are sure that it’s good deal and she makes you happy then I would buy it. I wouldn’t bat an eye at it being a K.

Personally I think it’s too big, but that’s me. If you love it, then go for it!

It’s gorgeous! Stats look good and I think it definitely looks perfect on your hand! I am a size 6 and we’re going for 2 carats. I’d totally do 2.68 if it was in our budget! I don’t think it’s over the top at all!

thecountdown :  I am basing this what you said and the fact that the stone is pretty large/substantial. If you don’t want an “over the top” look I would go with a smaller stone. I think that a 2 carat would be nicely proportioned to your finger with still a lot of finger coverage.

With this current stone you are looking at you are getting over 50% finger coverage, which I would consider definitely “over the top.” Whereas if you go to a 2 carat you’d be getting about 50% finger coverage.

Ultimately what you are comfortable with is up to you. But I don’t think you would have asked this question if you were completely comfortable with the size of this stone.

I have a 1.9 carat with a delicate halo and a size 3.75 finger. I love big diamonds. If you want to avoid visual shrinkage years from now and the price is right then get it!!!

I love it. I have a 5.5 finger but prefer a looser ring, so I wear a 6. My solitaire is just over 2 CT. I plan to go up to a 3 CT in the future. Love big rocks!

Love the ring! Doesn’t look “too big” to me at all.

That being said, I’m biased as my diamond is 1.8 carats with a halo on a 5.25 finger.

Personally, I dislike really large jewelry, I feel it ends up detracting from the overall appearance and feel that sometimes, less is more. But ultimately, this is your ring. How you feel about it is what really matters, and if we all had the exact same taste and exact same ring, it would get awfully boring wouldn’t it? Go with your gut.
