This sounds major but after a chat to mum and Fiance I am much calmer. if worse comes to worse I have a back up bouquet with thanks to mum but of course this is back up rather then ideal.
I am off to see the florist tomorrow but given that she has already said she has very little in purple (which is the colour i wanted)and only pink sweetpeas (which is my flower choice but my pet hate colour). I am really not holding my breath that she can put together a purple bouquet of sweet peas she promised.
I need advice on were i stand money wise. With 2 days to go, as it will be tomorrow and no trust in florist. as i only found out there was a problem because i rang her and she finaly got back to me with a text message picture at 7:30pm. she keeps saying that we can bulk it out with green too which is not what i want.
Im not bridezilla i promise. I have been very easy going on colours with all other details i just love purple flowers but she keeps texting me details on red, yellow and greenery so i am conserned.
If she can not come up with purple bouquet of flowers i like and that will last over night, as agreed pre payment:
Where do i stand?
Can I ask for a cash refund (due to lack of time for any cheque to clear pre wedding) so i can buy flowers on the day.
Or
Tell her to put together the flowers for the party 7 days later which the payment and sort out buying other flowrs on day
Or
im stuck with want ever she gives me.
Or
Tell her to sort it at her cost.

@julies1949: +1
@rainbowbee: Sometimes, contracts will state that the vendor has the right to substitute other flowers if what you selected is unavailable.
I hope all turns out well for you!

I’ve had a friend ask another florist to do her buquet when her contracted florist could not get the flowers she wanted. Her florist reimbursed her for her bouquet, but I don’t know if all florists will do that. I had the same thing happen to me, couldn’t get the right colored peonies for my bouquet. I was a bit stressed out, but just trusted my florist to made me a bouquet with what they could get. My bouquet turned out beautifully, although it would have been nice to have the colors I wanted but in the grand scheme of things it wasn’t a big deal to me. It’s not really the fault of the florist but their supplier.

@julies1949: i personaly have nothing in writing. The florist was choosen and paid for as a gift. On the website it says the t&c they have right to swap in flowers when the requested are not avaible.
i cant talk to person who paid ether as there are away on hoilday till the day before the wedding 🙁
@Brielle: it does on the web but if my request was just purple sweet peas, were do stand if she offers flowers and greenery that are neather purple nor sweet peas can say no.
@mintblush: she grows her own so no supplyers and she would have knowen a week or so ago that there was a problem coming.
I really hope she has good news tommorow but if not i really need to know were i stand . My bouquet is the only way to mark me as bride because i have no white
dress or veil because flowers and shoes are my love.

well the florist did contact a supplyer elsewere in the end and got hold of some very dark purple sweet peasshe failed to arrange straught. so all in all the florist flowers were a nightmare of stress and I would not want to us her again.
BUT ON THE UP!
We took some flowers from my garen and lavender from my neighbours, striped the sweetpea bouquet apart then went too two local forists and got a mix of beatifull flowers. Which we mixd all together and re wraped in ribbon to make the most amazing smelling boquet of beautiful purple and blue flowers I could have wished for and great night pre wedding night with pizza wine flowers and fun.
Thank you all for your help. x

@rainbowbee:
I’m so sorry that your search for the right flowers was such an adventure. However the bouquet you and your friends ultimately created is absolutely gorgeous!!!
