- Wedding: October 2013
I am meeting with some florists this weekend. This is an area that I am not good at. I really do not have a good idea of what I am looking for with flowers. Flowers are pretty. I want them. I have kind of an idea of what colors I want, but beyond that….. ????
I also just don’t know a lot about flowers in general, which is part of the problem. (I know, I’m a terrible girl. haha). I know that the florist will really be able to help me with this part. telling me what is in season, what comes in what colors, etc. so that’s good. But shouldn’t I at least have some sort of idea before I talk to them? can I go in with a blank slate? (my worry about that, is that they will conveniently suggest expensive flowers).
So I’m coming to you guys for inspiration. give me some ideas! post some pictures! 🙂
A bit about my wedding: It’s in October. Formal. BM dresses will be teal and i’m thinking about dark red and bronze as accent colors in the decor. I enjoy fall colors, but I don’t want everything to be “in your face” fall. (meaning no leaves, pumpkins or acorns, please.) Both the church and the reception venue are beautiful on their own, so I don’t think it needs a lot of floral decoration, except on the tables. The reception is in a former bank (vaults still in the wall and everything). very art-decco feeling- and I’m ok with that. might run with that theme in my invitations and stuff.
Thanks in advance for the help!
