That dress is absolutely beautiful. Have you thought about using lavender or purple orchids in the bouquet?

I love that dress! It’s definitely my favourite out of any coloured dress I’ve seen.

I second a PP’s suggestion to use fabric from the hem to make a belt if possible – or buy the same material in a plain matching colour so it just blends in. You will have to see what’s under the belt when it comes off as there may be minimal stitching marks.

Personally I think a veil might be a bit much with the dress, because the dress is a showstopper on it’s own and you don’t want to detract from that. I’d just go for flowers in your hair.

Rachel Jennie :  You could definitely attach the comb to a veil! Or you could do what I did- since I was wearing a longer veil I took it off for the reception and replaced where the veil had attached to my hair with a comb with pearls and rhinestones on it.

ETA: Also your dress is to DIE for and I’d better make sure my husband doesn’t see it because then he’d be massively disappointed that I didn’t wear a dress like that for our wedding. Purple is his favorite color!

I have no advice for you, but as a chick that wore a blue dress, I love yours and support the idea of brides wearing color!
