Buy what you want. If you can afford your dream ring…why not?! If you buy to other peoples taste you’ll always look down to your ring and wish it was your dream ring. Many cannot afford their dream ring. You can. Get it and wear it proudly. I’m not even going to give you my opinion good or bad because well I’m a rando on the internet and it shouldn’t matter. It’s not like it’s a weird shape so it’s kind of weird to me that your friends thought it was horrible. How many famous people have yellow diamonds?! A lot.
Post when you get it. We need to see the bling bling here. Distractions are very welcome.

I think the concept of a dream ring is negated by the fact that it’s a dream so who cares if someone likes it or not?
that looks like a $40 to $50k ring tbh anyway unless that’s your budget
ETA a similar size ring is like £17k on their site so I can only imagine how expensive a rare ring like that would be

It doesn’t matter who likes it and who doesn’t. From your comment on the IG post you shared, it seems like you’re a big fan.
Wear it in good health.

You said “dream ring” and “it took my breath away” so guess what? it doesn’t matter what anyone thinks besides you since this is YOUR ring. It’s not tacky in any way, it’s a simple solitaire, I mean it’s the most classic setting you can have. It’s a fancy color which is awesome! Don’t let others opinions keep you from happiness

I don’t like it.
But I don’t pay your bills so my opinion is irrelevant.

It’s stunning! I have a radiant cut diamond and love the cut because it’s different. If you love it, that’s all that matters! bride2bee98 :

who cares if they don’t like your ring? Also, why would it matter enough for you to make a poll on here to ask other strangers if they like it? I think the real question is… Why do you care so much about getting your friends approval on a ring you’re wearing everyday for the rest of your life. With that being said, get your ring bee. Good luck.

I think the stone is gorgeous! I am not a big fan of the matching band; I think it takes away from your stone. I think a plain band would look lovely.

I think it’s tacky, and I would never spend such a large amount of $$ on a ring even though I can afford it. Maybe he matching wddding band sends it over the top for me? Not sure, it’s just nms. That’s my opinion, though, which only affects me.
I didn’t even think about my friends’ tastes when I chose the engagement ring I wanted to wear the rest of my life, though.
