Oh god… That stinks!

I’ve been there, not proud of it. I’m not a big drinker either… Here’s my story:

Last summer I went to a wedding of my fiance’s super nice friends. The wine was so yummy. I had a glass, then another one, then another one, then I lost count. I ran into the mothers of the bride and groom in the bathroom. I’m not sure what I said in my drunken state, but I do remember telling them something like, ‘you’re so hot!’ I don’t even remember the dinner. My fiance tells me that I fell out of my seat once at dinner. He also tells me that I fell on the way to the car, in front of an elderly couple who was very concerned that I hurt myself in my nasty fall. I threw up the entire 40 minute drive home, and continued to do so at home. I woke up drunk the next day. I slepted until 5pm and then ate lots of pizza, drank tons of water, and took vitamins. Luckily, my fiance did a good job of hiding me when I started to get drunk, and wisked me away before the dancing started. We were with heavy drinkers and I was drinking and keeping up with them and then it all just hit horribly at one. I told the bride this story and she laughed sooo hard. (so glad she laughed about it!) She told me about her drunk mom and grandma at the wedding. Whew… so glad I wasn’t the only once. I will always remember that wedding as having the BEST wine ever! (BTW, this was a really nice, upscale wedding in a mansion that I made an ass out of myself.) I’m sure some bees will read this story and be horrified at this story, but it does happen. And the bride was totally okay with it.

After all of that, we’re having a top shelf open bar, and everyone has been instructed by me ‘to drink a lot!’

Aww, try not to worry too much about it. We’ve all had bad drinking nights and bad hangovers. At least you didn’t throw up in front of your FIs boss and coworkers 🙂 It could always have been worse. Just focus on feeling better.

My worst night involves throwing up IN the bar… definitely not a proud moment. You’re not alone!

@moosey: wow sounds pretty scary!  I hope you’re all better by now! and don’t feel to embarassed, a lot of us have been there.

my worst drinking story was when I was 18 in my senior year in high school. it was the first time I actually got drunk.. well it was worse than that.. i kept drinking and drinking.. I think it’s because I was heartbroken by this jerk who kept messing with my heart, but anyways.. I was blacking out throughout the night.. now that I think about it I can’t believe i went thru that.. luckily my good friend was there at the party and she took care of me, however she left me unattended for a few mins to get me water and i ended up making out with some guy i barely knew (that was the worst part for me becaue I am so not like that) i just remember throwing up at this guy’s house and blacking out.. then getting driven home by my friend’s boyfriend and my friend.. thank God she was there, i don’t even want to know what would’ve happened if she wasnt.. well one good thing come out of that night, I learned to NEVER EVER drink on an empty stomach and I also never drank like that again. i seriously think i had minor alcohol poisoning..
