- Wedding: April 2010
We used a discounted service (ThePros) so that we could afford to get a videographer. We’ve enjoyed seeing old family videos of weddings and other special events, so we decided to go ahead on do it. We put in the contract that we would get the raw footage in addition to their edited version on a DVD.
Well we have no idea when we will receive the video, because they are holding it for our “photo lead-in a voice-over love story” and we need to pay a $250 fee for being late.
We told them we didn’t want it before we booked with them! We just want the video from the wedding day. I’ve emailed and called. Last time I spoke with someone (several weeks ago), they said they would update the account to go ahead with the editing without the lead-in. I checked online and saw that the new date was moved to the start of August (4 months for a digital video edit?) but thought it’s fine.
Someone asked about the video today and I thought I’d check to see if the timeline had changed. It’s listed as “on hold” again for the lead-in “per your request”!
Has anyone dealt with this (same or different company)? What should I do? Help please!
