So this may seem like a stupid title but it has something behind it. One of my Bridesmaid or Best Man found out she was pregnant so we ordered her a maternity dress online. We matched the colors with the swatches from DB so she would match the rest of the bridal party and what was supposed to come as Burgundy came as an apple RED. There are 9 weeks until the wedding and there’s no time to order her a new dress as it takes 8 weeks to be delivered. I’m not sure what to do. I really want her there to support me, but it would look so tacky to have 2 girls matching, my Maid/Matron of Honor in pink and her in red. I absolutely will NOT do it.

How does your Bridesmaid or Best Man feel about possibly being ousted for something that really wasn’t her fault? DB can do rush orders (whether they admit it up front or not).
Have a talk with her and feel her out alittle. If she’s REALLY pregnant (I mean far along) she actually may be relieved.
I hope I didn’t come off as snarky, I just always try to look at things from the other person’s perspective.
Let me know how it turns out!

@RobynB: I just feel bad because the company is not giving her a refund and she doesn’t have the money to buy two dresses and I don’t really have the money to buy her a dress either. I just feel bad. I don’t know what to do.

If you love your friend, you deal with it. Is it so tacky to make your friend feel that bad for something that isn’t her fault? I think burgandy, red, and pink all sorta blend–maybe you can talk to your florist about changing the flowers to make it all match.
Just tell your friend it isn’t a big deal, you’ll make it work, and the color scheme in your head will change a little.
Sometimes shit hits the fan and you roll with the punches. If you can’t get a new dress, just go with it. Put flowers in their heads to tie them all together, do it with the florals, do it with shoes….something, ya know?

That does stink. Do you have pics? maybe there is a way we can help you fix it. Never fear…the bees are here!
