What kind of material are you looking for?  This may be too casual for you, but I loved this seller’s stuff:

They tend to have high, ruffled necks, which are also flatterring for a “lady of a certain age”

ive bought 5 boleros on ebay, and i also bout pashimas at local department stores. I think either would be nice- or even a lacey shawl which can be found pretty much anywhere.

If you go to ebay or esty, make sure you pay with paypal..then your transaction is secure.

Good luck!

Here’s a cute satin one.

Etsy sellers have feedback rating like they do on ebay, so it’s easy to see what other peoples experiences have been.  Also, I’ve only bought 6 or 7 things from Etsy, but every single time the seller has been great to communicate with, super proud of their product, and anxious to please.  Since everything is handmade, you can usually pick a seller who’s stuff suits your general style, and ask for customizations at low or no charge.

@Treejewel19:  Will do!  I chose the free shipping option – with that option they ship it to you 21 days after ordering.

Everything came to about $125.00 USD.  I ordered extra fabric to make the back longer.  I have a long torso.

Whaddaya know??  My Wrapor arrived today!  It’s gorgeous! Easy to put on (designed like a little jacket) and so comfortable.  I highly recommend them!
