After spending tons of time on the DIY boards, I have decided to punch borders on my pocketfolds. I bought a Martha Stewart border punch from Michaels but it does NOT punch through my 110# cardstock! Any advice/suggestions?

are you sure it’s meant to punch all the way through? The martha stewart line of paper punches also have ones that are just meant to …i don’t want to say emboss, but along those lines.

Can you possibly find a similiar colored cardstock in a lighter weight? I know my scrapbooking paper works wonderfully with those same punches. Good luck!!

The punch looks GREAT on regular 65# cardstock, but it destroys the 110# paper I have. Maybe a less detailed punch will work better?

Have you tried Fiskar punches? I used those on cardstock and brown paper craft bags.

Change the paper or the punch would be the only thing I could think of. More expensive option might be to try a cricut or other laser cutter machine.

I bought a Fiskars punch (it is a 3-design puncher that cuts out a designs and embosses-paid somewhere around $12-14). I bought the heaviest card stock paper I could for my ceremony programs and it works GREAT!

My Fiskars punch worked great on two sheets of heavy cardstock (can’t remember the specific weight) at once, but destroyed both the paper and the punch when I tried 3….I suppose that’s what I get for being impatient

Like others here my fiskers punch has been a godsend! I have gone through 1 already though (I put my first one though something I shouldn’t have and killed the blade) But it has goine though my pocketfold invites just fine. I suggest trying a fiskers one!

Thanks all! I will try the Fiskars punch! I thought about using the Cricut, but making 150 invites with that will take a long time!

i would also look and see if it can be adjusted.. i bought fiskars- i have 4 of them and love them
but the last one i bought wouldnt go thru certain paper- Fiance took it apart and adjusted the plate higher and now it works on everything!
