I started taking evening primrose oil supplements to clear my skin as I was getting hormonal breakouts one or twice a month. Also and this might sound gross and I dont know what other bees might say about this but I also use lemon juice on my pimples to dry them out. I cleanse my face and then spread the juice over my face, it stings for a little bit though. You can leave it overnight or just wash off after about 20 mins. Also, vitimin C is soooo good for your skin. AND one more thing, have you heard of the clarisonic? Its pretty awesome but is a little pricey so you could google that?

It can take up to 8 weeks for a new skin care routine to take full effect, so that’s why you’re not seeing a difference yet most likely.  Keep doing it for another week.  You should probably be using a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer.  All oil free.  If it’s not starting to clear up a little in a week, go see a dermatologist.  They can usually speed up the process.

@ashnic87:  Go schedule a facial immediately and then ask if you can do a mini-facial the week before your engagement pics! (DON’T do it right before because your skin needs a few days of adjustment to heal afterwards.) Immediately start using an exfoliating scrub every three days like this one http://www.rhondaallison.com/Scrubs.html?products=163 which I use and is awesome. Also I don’t know what type of skin you have or how old you are.  I am 28 and I saw my dermatologist and she recommended (and I have been using to great results) Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Serum and the night serum, which has retinol in it so it helps acne and aging.  I use just a regular cleanser (Cetaphil) with the above stuff and it has really cleared my skin up without any irritation. Also I use Cerave moisturizer which really protects your skin and helps put up a barrier (also rec’d by the dermatologist).  I’m not a huge fan of Clearasil or any of those things because they’re really harsh.  I have to say my skin has never looked better!

Plus, ante up for a makeup artist for your engagement shoot!  They’ll make sure nothing is visible anyway by using good foundation etc 🙂

GOOD LUCK! I am sure you will look beautiful!

Go to a dermatologist.  You may need prescription strength medicine.

did you start using anything different? toner, face wash, moisturizer? I never broke out before and started breaking out in Jan. But I changed a few things around, so couldnt figure out what it was. A month ago, I finally looked at my new toner and realized it had 14% alcohol and it was drying out my face. Once i’ve stopped using it, its slowly clearing up
