My two sisters are my only bridesmaids and they are not dress people at all. We also are trying to find the best price possible since like I said they are not dress people at all. Our colors are red and black and I found this cute dress at dress barn, but my only issue is wondering if it’s too busy for a wedding party. I always said no patterns when we first started looking, but can I really pass up such a cute, great deal? I was thinking about pairing it with a short sleeve black shrug as well in order to calm the red down. Opinions??

I’m not a huge fan of this particuliar dress. Even if they’re not really dress people, everyone could use a “little black dress.” I’m sure you can find a great deal on a black dress that is rewearable. This just seems a little mature for my tastes… but if you’re sisters are a little older, it may very well be appropriate.

@simplifiedbride: Thanks for the input. I didn’t consider that before. They are older, but I still don’t want to age them even more!

@ashers033: Don’ t take this the wrong way. But, my 56 year old mum has a very similar dress. I think you need a more youthful little black dress. I agree, check out LuLu’s.

Lulu’s will not work for us. First of all most of their dresses are super short or have some sort of cut out, both of which are not great for non-dress wearing people. And one of my sister is a size 22. I appreciate the feed back, but that store is not the greatest suggestion.

I love patterned dresses! A friend of mine had black/white dresses and they were just gorgeous.

You can check department stores like Macy’s for nice black dresses. They have sales frequently, so you should be able to find a good deal.
