I need some burn remedies/coverup techniques. I have a small (not serious) nickel sized burn directly in the center of my chest. A boiling droplet of hollendaise sauce is to blame for my disfugurement. There is no blistering, just an ugly area of singed off skin. is there any way i can help it heal so that i would be able to use coverup on it on moday? (i will not put makeup over an open wound). or do i need to just suck it up and depend on photoshop?
love you ladies!

As long as you are not allergic to aloe, I would use aloe vera gel. I used that on my back when I got a steam burn and it healed quickly.

It won’t be fully healed by Monday , but I am sure that it will be dry enough to dab on some cover-up.

I know it sounds so funny but when I got a steam burn at my FMIL’s she had me chew up pumpkin seeds and put the gross mash on the burn. And I have never had a burn heal so quickly.

I would just care for it like you would any other burn and not worry about it. You can EASILY photoshop that out. Just be sure to let your photographer know what happened and you would like it done!;)
glad your ok and it wasnt more serious!!!

Vitamin E lotion.
Trust me, it works wonders on burns. I burn my self alot at work and usally 3 days is enough ( depending on how bad the burn is) to at least be able to cover it.

I would honestly just tell your photog. I woke up with a random cold sore on my lip the day before our e-pics and he photoshopped it out for me.

I’m not going to lie . . . I opened this thread just to see how you burned your chest at work. I hope it heals up soon though, and I’m sure your photog can take care of the rest!

Neosporin or a similar ointment/first aid antibiotic will work quickly on a burn that size, especially if you apply the ointment and then put a bandaid over it. Apply during the day and especially at night when your body is doing the most repairs. Keep hydrated. Can you perhaps wear a gentle cotton scarf or a different outfit to cover the burn? Of course, there’s always photoshop, but the ointment will help you heal in the long run. Good luck!

There are many remedies to treat a burn from aloe vera to home made concoctions of rotten fruit. The rotten fruit one looks terrible but my family swears by it for oil burns while cooking. What remedy you choose to use, you can always try using concealer on the burn spot before the photo shoot or use airbrush makeup. Airbrush makeup hides blemishes and redness well.

I don’t know about remedies but to COVER it use dermablend. That shit is magical!
