I have no suggestion but the eye is the fastest healing part of the body. Hopefully, it goes away soon!

See an eye doc to make sure that’s all it is and there’s nothing else going on.  If it’s just a blood vessel, then try warm (not hot!) compresses over your eye to try and improve the circulation to clear it up faster.

Oh dear! My only suggestion is that your photographer is nice enough to edit that part of your photos 🙂 Try to stay calm, rest your eyes!

@kristen182:  +1, send your photog a quick email letting him/her know of your situation and try to just relax.

Firstly, don’t take medical advice from strangers over the internet.

The first step is to determine of you need medical attention or not.

If you do not have access to a NurseLine where you live through your insurance, you can use ours online.

Do the Check your Symptoms section. If it indicates you should see a doctor, do so. If it says you can manage with home treatment, look at the information in that section.

I’m really sorry! I had one of those before and freaked out, thought I was going blind because I had no idea what they were! But try and:

  • Visit your eye specialist
  • Tell your photographer as a heads up.

  • Put warm compresses on your eye every night, and rest.

  • Don’t stress anymore! (that’s one of the reasons that causes them).

Also, remember that it gets worse before it gets better. Good luck! 🙂

Don’t wear any makeup for the next few days, and try to use something very gentle if you have to clean around your eyes. Try and relax a little bit, too.
Drink lots and lots of water! The body heals faster when it’s hydrated.

You just want to try and not irritate it further. I am sure it will be fine!

Agree with others to get it checked out to make sure it’s nothing major.  The doctor will let you know what to do.

Talk to your photographer to make sure they do a little color correction on the photos – in Photoshop it’ll be an easy fix.

And remember that your wedding day’s such an amazing event that it won’t matter that everything wasn’t perfect.  It’s all about the love and joy.  All of us have things that didn’t fit with what we envisioned, but it all ends up wonderful in the end anyways.  🙂

Don’t panic, the worst thing you can do is stress about it!

Keep your eye area clean, swing by your doctor’s to see if there are any drops or other medication he can prescribe and just spend time relaxing!

My grandfather got one of these a couple of months ago and it healed quicker than we thought. Don’t worry too much about it, you’re going to look beautiful on your wedding day!
