I have been reading other dress forum posts trying to reason with myself but I still feel uneasy about the dress I bought. I ordered the Mori Lee 1664 dress a month ago – I had originally gone shopping with three of my bridesmaids in California and went again when I was home in NJ with my mom. After trying on the Mori Lee again (with my mom and dad) I ordered it because I knew I was cutting it close with timing. I left the salon skipping, literally. Then a few weeks later the doubt started when I was looking at other dresses, thinking that I ordered the wrong one. To make matters worse I started showing my Fiance pictures of dresses to get his opinion and even showed him the Mori lee, which he didn’t particularly like. (Don’t worry he has no idea which one I picked because I showed him a TON of styles). I know that at the end of the day, he’ll love whatever I wear, but I can’t get it out of my head. All of the girls that went with me and my parents loved it, so why am I doubting it so much?
Although I love the shape of the dress, I’m worried that I should have gone with something more flowy, and without ruching (like the second picture). I am getting married in a church but the reception is tented in a backyard, so maybe the satin is too formal? I know I need to stop looking at other dresses, but I can’t stop thinking about it. Help! What do you ladies think? I really want to just stop thinking about this and be happy with my decision.

OMG Keep the Mori Lee for sure – it looks FANTASTIC on you!! I love it!

I think the dress you picked is gorgeous! It’s impossible to be overdressed at your own wedding so don’t worry about that at all.

I think they both look awesome, including the one you chose!
TBH, I came to the realization that there was more than one dress I would have been thrilled with, I think you look fabulous in dress #1, definitely keep it.

The Mori Lee looks great on you!!

The dress looks amazing on you – definitely keep it!
I think there’s always a bit of dress regret because it’s a big decision that you’ve likely thought about for a long time, but I bet once your dress arrives you’ll fall in love with it all over again.

You look incredible! Love the dress you chose

I love the dress you chose (and I definitely prefer it over dress #2)! Your Fiance will love it too when he sees it on you, on your wedding day.
I think it is normal to have doubts about such a big purchase.

I agree with teh above. They’re both beautiful, but the one that you bought gives you the most amazing shape! Don’t worry, pretty much everyone has dress regret at some point 🙂

The dress you have is STUNNING! It looks fantastic on you. I personally love it way more than dress #2.
And don’t worry about your Fiance, men are funny when it comes to this kind of stuff. My Fiance made an awkward comment when my dress popped up on TV and I in the end just had to ignore it. He won’t remember what it looks like (as you said) and will think you are gorgeous regardless. 🙂

1.) I love your dress! I think it’s lovely and flattering and definitely not too formal.
2.) There’s no way your husband is going to see you in that dress and think ‘wait a minute, I don’t like that dress.’ He’s going to be overcome by his beautiful bride.
3.) If you’d purchased the flowy second dress, you’d probably be having the same doubts…should I have purchased the satin one?
4.) STOP LOOKING AT OTHER DRESSESSSSS!!!!

You girls are awesome! I already feel better! I think I just needed to hear it from someone else because I kept thinking that I shouldn’t have doubt. I was seriously about to go start dress shopping again for a dress similar to #2, but I’ll just wait and hopefully be in love with my dress when it comes in in April.

I think it’s normal to have dress regret. Once you decide on a dress, that door to endless possibilities is shut…and there will ALWAYS be another possible dress that could be “the dress.” That’s why you kind of have to just stop looking.

The gown you purchased is a much more beautiful than the gown you’re now considering. You look amazing in the dress you selected. You are going to be a stunning bride, and you’re going to love your pictures!
