When I stayed in Cabo, I stayed at Casa Dorada. I loved Cabo. Beautiful, food was great, many activities. The only thing I will tell you, is almost all the resorts have restrictions on swimming in the ocean. There is only a certain area of Cabo where it is safe to get in the ocean. I am terrified of the ocean so it really didn’t bother me that much LOL. Casa Dorada was amazing, the staff was great, and totally relaxing!! I”m actually going back to Mexico for my honeymoon…Riveria Maya Canucn, because Mexico was so fabulous!

We went to Hawaii.  I could live there.  I could move far away from our family to live there, and be completely okay with it….and that’s saying something coming from me.

If you do go to Hawaii I suggest looking into Sea Life Park and swimming with dolphins.  That was my favorite thing we did in Hawaii!  We were on Oahu and the park had BEAUTIFUL views no matter which way you looked.  I def want to go back and visit it again.  SOOOOOOOOOO much fun.  Plus, seeing your hub swim with a dolphin?  And kiss a dolphin?  Um, yeahhh beyond words adorable.

We went in October and it was hotter than I was thinking it’d be but it was nice.  Oh, and if you stay in Waikiki you need to eat breakfast at The Shore Bird (breakfast buffet at the outrigger hotel right on the beach — it’s open air and lovely) and also Georgia Pastrami (pricey but damn good).

I know nothing about Cabo, but I love me some Hawaii!  Good luck and if you have questions feel free to ask.

It was my impression that Cabo didn’t get too rainy, hot, or buggy since it’s still pretty arid down there. I have been about halfway down the Baja Peninsula, which is desert, but not to the tip. I think it might depend on what kind of things you like to do and what kind of trip you are lookign for. Each spot has things to offer.

I’ve been to both and my vote 100% goes to Hawaii. My favorite islands are Maui and Kauai, but all of them have different experiences to offer so it depends on what you’re interested in.

I did Hawaii for my honeymoon and while it was wonderful, I will warn you that it was not cheap – you have to fly farther so pricier tickets, the hotels were all really pricey (and no all-inclusive resorts if you’re looking for that, few private cottage type places because of the geography), and while we were there all the food and gas was expensive ($5.60 a gallon!). With that said, it was worth it to me because I know my honeymoon is the priciest vacation I’ll ever take, but if you don’t want to break the bank I might do Cabo.

Also look at some Livingsocial/Groupon deals to lower the price, they always have them for Hawaii and Mexico.

Hawaii!!! But I don’t really like Mexico so maybe I’m a little too one sided on that. Cabo is dryer than other parts of Mexico so the rain/bugs situation might not be as bad, and it’ll definitely be cheaper than Hawaii. Plus you can do an AI, which is always nice, especially for a honeymoon.

Hawaii is just, I don’t know, Hawaii. It’s amazing there! The weather is always great, the people are nice, it’s safe, the food is good, you don’t have to worry about drinking the water, it’s definitely more romantic and pretty.

If you decide on Cabo, check out Hotel Finistera. It is up on the hill and has a panoramic view of the Pacific on one side and the Sea of Cortez on the other. I think they have ALl Incusive packages if you prefer that. Lots to do in Cabo. Great resturants.

Have fun
