Look on eBay! And preownedweddingdresses.com – 99% of the dresses you will find on those sites will be worn once, but they will be individual sellers, so you will get it much faster than ordering a brand new dress from the designer.

Plus, you’ll save some $$. πŸ™‚

Oh, and don’t forget to check out the WB classifieds!

What kind of dress are you looking for?

Find superstores that deliver to Bahrain. There must be something connected to the consulate that’ll ship to you. Or go through eBay – just make sure you’re meticulous with the measurements and only buy something preowned, not something that’ll be made in China to order as that might not arrive on time.

I bought a MOB dress within 2 months from http://www.keepmeinstitches.biz

They have a “real” store in PA or NJ, under the name Rowan’s Bridal or something like that.

I don’t know if they will mail to you, but they do have some wedding dresses.

You will have to contact their customer service, to see if they have (one that you like in your size) in stock you may get it within two months.  Just make sure to get measured correctly.

Best Wishes.

Another bee posted a thread about bridal shops three months ago, and she said Watters is among the fastest brands and can do a dress in 2 months. She didn’t mention Mori Lee, but maybe you can PM her and ask. Good luck with the search!

I got my dress from Romona Keveza in one month! But I was lucky that I met the designer at a trunk show and he was so insistent that I buy one of his designs that he made sure I got the dress on time and waived the rush fees.

Other than that I tried rush ordering a Marisa dress in a month – was a no-go.

I asked about an Allure and they said they could do it in a month.

I was told if you’re a standard size 8-10 you’re more likely to get it because they tend to have more of those on hand and can just push yours ahead of someone else’s. So you pay a rush fee and you basically take someone else’s dress.

I also second preownedweddingdresses.com and oncewed.com. You’ll find many fashionable designer dresses there, and I think there’s plenty that have never been worn! Brides change their minds all the time. I’m selling 2 right now and I never wore of them, a Vera Wang.

You could get measured and have your SIL look for a sample dress in your size. I was able to buy the exact dress I tried on and it was brand new to the store, nobody else had ever tried it on so it was still brand new. And I get 25% off because it was a sample.

USED! pick a shape you KNOW will look good on you. Think about a corset back–it’ll be adjustment. shoot, mine didn’t need a single alteration. And if it’s not embellished at the bottom, it’d be easy to hem. I really think you can find something that’ll fit in 2 months

If you are a size 6 street, that is about a 10 in bridal.  With some digging you should easily find what you want.  However, make sure you know your exact measurements.  I know yourdreamdress.com ships internationally.  Bridepower.com is also a good resource.

Also check Jay’s Bridal.com — they have a “sample sale” (it’s one of the links on the left side) so you can buy a designer sample garment for very cheap.

And as everyone else said, preownedweddingdresses.com, the wedding bee classifieds and oncewed.com are also good resources.  There are a lot of “new with tags” ads on there, so you won’t have to wear an used dress if you’re against it.
