Ok, so I’m flying out to see Darling Husband graduate boot camp this weekend (YAY!!!) and we’re obviously needing to do a little bit of bed rockin… sooo… can I take condoms in my carry on bag???
Sorry if this is the most weird question ever, but I haven’t flown in 15 years, and don’t know the regulations that well. I know all my liquids have to go in a quart bag, but do I need to put the condoms in there because they have lube on them, or can they be with my other stuff (contact case, brush, etc)? I can’t find an ‘official’ answer anywhere, and I’m sure someone here can answer it! 🙂
I’m traveling with the in-laws, so I would like to avoid them being pulled out by security… kind of awkward… plus I want to just do this right.

Condoms can go with your regular stuff (hidden from your inlaws). As a disclaimer, security may still randomly pull you for a bag check. I travel a lot and it hasnt happened to me but it has happened to one of my friends.

@piglet_625: You’re fine to carry them on, no worries.

Thanks ladies!! I really don’t care if they check my bag or whatever. I was just getting visions of a security guy going “what’s THIS!?!?!” and pulling my little stash out in front of my poor mother in law. She’s still adjusting to the idea that we actually do have sex, so I’m sure she would be mortified!!

you will be fine having them in your carry on just make sure they are hidden from the inlaws!

I say take them out of the box, just in case you do get searched, the box won’t be visible. Since the box is so much bigger than the condoms themselves, you can hide them better from the inlaws. But yes, you can take them in your carry-on, maybe put them in a plastic bag and pack them first, under all your clothes 🙂

@piglet_625: I agree with all the bees. Theyr’e fine to bring, just take them out of the box and put them in a plastic bag and tuck them discretely in your clothes.
And, if ya really want to be cautious, put a little post-it in there that says ‘TSA: I’m traveling with future-in-laws, please be discreet!’ Lol.

Shouldn’t be a problem, but I agree with taking them out of the box – things that are in boxes or containers are a prone to a bit more scrutiny as people try to hid things in them, so just to be on the safe side – no box!
@indibee: Love that idea! TSA officials would most likely have a bit of a chuckle over that one! 🙂

What about one of those tampon boxes? You know..the fancy kind that makes the tampons look cute in your purse but you can’t see the actual tampon? You could mix a few condoms in with the tampons, or just take the tampons out. Either way, it looks like you are just carrying lady products.

@soyjoy222: Oh that’s a good idea!!
We bought a tin that had I think 50 condoms in it, and they were all different kinds to try to find ones we like, so I just took a variety out of there. I think I’ll put them in a little baggie and pack it under my clothes.
@indibee: LOL!! That would be hilarious!! I can just imagine that poor TSA guy trying to figure out what he needs to be discreet about and then realizing… OHHHHHH!!

If they are in foil packets, they can absolutely be in your checked luggage. That’s where I put mine! No way would I be caught dead putting them in my carry-on….I have read too many horror stories of people’s luggage being checked and having condoms, vibrators, lube, and whatnot pulled out of their carry-on in front of other passengers. Not for me! ESPECIALLY if I was traveling with my MIL! lol
