For all that would like to read my dilemma:
I’ve been searching for months high and low. EVERYWHERE. I thought I knew what I wanted and getting soo involved ’caused me to change my mind that now. I have no clue!
I knew I wanted something cute and dainty, now well…. it’s come down to, I don’t feel comfortable with small because if anything I’d want my wedding band to SHOW itself more so than my Engagement Ring because it means more to me.
No family member or friend can help because everyone is in such different stages in life they wouldn’t understand what I’m going through. Either it’s too flashy or it’s too dainty (inexpensive/cheap to some).
I’m not the kind of person to be flashy, I’m very neutral and I love being average. Thing is 3 of my options scream otherwise. I love how they look, but even between the 3 of those I cannot choose! Arg… What makes this choice “worse” is I DON’T plan on doing an upgrade. I have plenty of jewelry and don’t need more of it! I actually could do with less. lol. Another thing is, seems like many girls dislike anything that can snag. . How big of a problem is that after children and years? I don’t want it to be bothersome, or too attention grabbing when traveling either. Wheres the middle?
What’s a simple girl to choose?
The shared prong w/sap&dia’s can either be 2.2mm and the other 3mm
The knife edge bands are around 1.7mm

What does your e-ring look like? Do you plan on wearing them together?
I like option one but that’s because I’m biased towards sapphires

I like the last one the best. It’s simple and not too crazy, but the setting is unique.
I think I’m going to end up with a simple white gold band. My ring is really small and I still scratch myself on it all the time.

@SuperKate: It’s a solitare

I think the first one would go best with your ring and it will give it that extra pop to make it special 🙂
Welcome to the Bee boards by the way!

I like the first one. If you’re not wearing it together then last one gets vote.
Why don’t you ask Fiance, help you decide.

love #3 the best, i think its dainty but still pops! Also it has no prongs (it doesn’t look like anyways) so it wouldn’t snag.

Hey, check out my post titled
Why you chose a colored gemstone band w/ diamond e-ring & pics please!
My e-ring is a 6 prong solitaire and a sapphire and diamond band. It is not identical to the ones you are thinking about but it might give you a better idea of if it is for you or not. Hope this helps

I think the first one would go best with your ering.

@vmec: lol, I did ..His reply was the grandest or if I wanted simple the gold band! He can’t choose either. When I went into t&co the two pronged setting stole my heart, but out in the real world (for now Sac) it screams “look what I got, nah nah nah” and in LA where I’m from, I’d just blend in. Too funny and so annoying. I just really dislike the judgement.
As to all the other Bee’s replies. Thank you 🙂 Hopefully I can narrow my search this weekend. I’m biting some kind of bullet and resorting to e-ni-me-ni’s if I have to. I need it in time for May and still have to come up with an engraving!

Love the shared prong, but then again I’m biased toward that style 🙂

I love either the first, or the last 🙂

I think the first band would go best with your solitaire.

I think the first or last sapphire band would work best for your ring.
By the way, we’re date twins!

I have a shared prong band and am also biased, I think they are beautiful. With my ering on it doesn’t really scratch because it sits lower, I just sometimes have to pick fuzz out of it. It’s not a full eternity though, and I can definately feel when it starts to move around my finger. Without my ering though, if you ever wanted to wear them separately, it does get kinda sharp. I think the last one with the bezel set stones is beautiful too.
If you really can’t decide flip a coin, I know that always lets me know how I really feel about something. 🙂 Good luck.
