I LOVE pink and orange! I wanted to do it but got vetoed by DH.  Personally I think the pops of the other colours is too much since they are all bright colours but I’m sure it can be done tastefully (i just wouldn’t be able to pull it off).

I would do all one colour for dresses regardless of how many bridesmaids but I prefer things to match. I have seen weddings where the dresses were black and all the shoes and flowers were different colours and it looked lovely.

I do not think pink is overdone.

Here’s an inspiration board using pink, orange, yellow and  aqua (there are so many colors referred to as teal ranging from bright blue to green )- basically gerbera daisy colors! You don’t have to count the green as one of your colors as almost all flower bouquets or arrangements will have some green involved.

I forgot to tell you to look at http://www.theperfectpalette.com  for color palettes.

You can click on one of your chosen colors and see many palettes  they have developed using that color.

I voted for pink and yellow – I’m a little biased because I had a pink and yellow wedding! Then I saw the pink-yellow-orange-aqua colour board, and I think it’s gorgeous!

If you’re worried about pink being overdone (though I don’t think it is), use it as an accent colour, rather than the main colour. Go with the orange, yellow, or blue as your primary colour.

Voting for teal and yellow but that’s because those are my favorite colors…even though I won’t be using them for my wedding. I initially was going to do teal and yellow and then swtiched to teal and purple (FI’s favorite color, which is funny because he likes purple and red and I love the blues and the greens, etc). THEN, we went to DB and I fell in love with sangria…so my entire color scheme has changed…hahaha. My colors are now sangria and gold!

As for your bridal party, I personally would do one color for all the girls’ dresses and maybe have them hold bouquets in your other color. If you want an interesting combination, maybe you can have groomsmen wear vests and ties in the color of the bouquets. My friend’s colors were blue and yellow. We wore blue dresses and held yellow bouquets and the groomsmen wore yellow ties. It was beautiful and very refreshing!

And no, if you want 5 people standing with you that day, it’s not too many. It’s your wedding and your bridal party and you should pick whomever is dear to your heart! 🙂

    1. If I was to do pink/orange/yellow–would working in pops of teal/lime green/purple in maybe decorations or such too much?

Well if you do pink/orange/yellow–you could for sure pop in teal. I think the lime green and purple maybe a little harder to add to the mix.)

    2. If I’m only have 2 people in the bridal party, would you personally do all one color for dresses or mismatched? What if there were 5 (is that too many for such a small wedding)?

I would do the same color dress and same dress fabric but maybe different styles

    3. Is pink overdone? I like the idea, but don’t want to over-pink everything for FI’s sake.

pink is never overdone. Lol with the other colors the pink will look nice.

    4. My mom suggested bridal party wear be more pastel-y, but for some reason for me, bright gerbera daisies seem like they would look silly with muted dresses.

    I think your right.

I hope I helped in some way

I voted pink, orange and yellow.  I also like PPs’ idea of using pops of teal or teal bridesmaid dresses.  Five sounds like a lot of BMs for a small wedding.  WE’re having about 60 guests as well and we each have 3 attendants (which some people think is too much as well but FH has three guys he really wanted in his bridal party.)  Definitely go bright with the colors, especially in May.  No need for Easterly pastels.

I would do all 4, but us one as a “main” use 2 as the “accents” and the 4th as the “filler” like for thr other bouquet flowers, centerpeice stuff you cant find in other colors.

Since you fear pink is too pverdone, and dont want it too be there too much for your FIs sake, either have it as an accent, or a filler. So decide the main, and go from there.
