We are using “Better Together” by Jack Johnson for ours. Something upbeat and sweet.

Ours is Bright Side of the Road by Van Morrison. It’s fun, upbeat and since we’re launching right into cocktail hour, it’ll get the party started on the right note. I also considered This Will Be by Natalie Cole or You Make My Dream Come True by Hall & Oates. Our ceremony is outdoors and really only semi-formal, so it depends on the vibe you’re going for.

We used Lover of the Light by Mumford & Sons but edited it to the part where it really picks up! I think it was PERFECT and absolutely loved it. It was so happy and modern and fun and upbeat and really beautiful. Aw just teared up remembering how it set the tone and matched how we were feeling so well. Give it a listen 🙂

We’re using “I’m Yours” by VSQ.  Actually all our ceremony music is VSQ ecept for the processional songs.  FI wanted something grand so for the guys it’ll be the theme song to Boondock Saints.  For my walk, it’ll be I Won’t Give Up by Jun Sung Ahn.  All instrumental so hopefully it’ll all “go” together.

We’re going to walk out to “My Best Friend” by Queen. It has an awesome beginning and is a good representation of us as a couple. “You’re the best friend that I’ve ever had, I’ve been with you such a long time… I want you to know my feelings are true, I really love you.”

Think of some your favourite upbeat songs, and then see if you can find a VSQ version of one of them. That way, you can find an upbeat, joyful song that ties in to your processional. It’s amazing what songs can be done on strings!
