Honestly, no one will notice your “armpit fat”.

@Bride1980:   An armpit fat concern is a new one on me.

Anyway, what did your seamstress say at the fitting?  The dress should be altered to fit you perfectly, and not squish your chest in any way.  She should be able to fix it, that’s her job.

It means the dress is too tight for you, not that you have “fat armpits.”

@Bride1980:  She should really be making more of an effort to make your dress fit correctly. Your boobs shouldn’t be squished up under your armpits in a dress like that (and 34D isn’t particularly big).

I hear you, this is something that worries me too. Could the seamstress add a little strip of fabric on the side to cover your armpits? Could she add more fabric to the straps to loosen the bust?

@Bride1980:    Good grief, I can’t believe she said that to you.  Maybe you should try to find a new seamstress, is that a possibility?  She should be able to fix your dress to your satisfaction.  Lots of women have large breasts, it’s very common.  I’m almost your size and my dress fits perfectly, no “armpit fat” to be seen, and I weigh more than you.

Btw, your dress is gorgeous!

i would add an addition inch or so of fabric on the side there all the way around the armhole/strap going maybe a satin one to make it look like an additional detail to the dress rather than sideboob fixup?

but i do agree that she should make the cups/bust fit you better! im a 32D and rarely have problems fitting into tops and i DO have some arm fat on top of it lol

i think she made it too flat/tight and just doesent want to re-do it

34D chest on someone who is 5’2 weighing 104lbs are BIG boobs! I am your height, same sized chest and its a pain with these boobs.

She should most def fix this, and if she says ‘oh sorry its your big boobed fault’ you get a different seamstrees! I know exactly what you mean by your boobs pushing up under your armpit. Sounds like your boobs are creeping out the sides because of the fit.

what bout sleeves like these?

but not to the extreme. i guess only a seamstress can answer your question about sleeves working with your dress.

My dress has a similar neck line to yours and I am a 38 Dirty Delete. I was told to order a larger dress so that my chest could be accomidated, then my seamstress took the dress in elsewhere so the chest was not tight, but the dress fit me everywhere else. Did they measure you properly when you ordered? You usually order the dress to your largest measurement.

Uh, I am a 36D (which I consider big and they were too big for my dress) and my seamstress fixed it.  She should not be telling you your dress will just do bad stuff if you are larger up to.  I don’t have any specific ideas on fixing it, but I’d suggest a different seamstress!

@Bride1980:  I am not wearing a bra. It is kinda freaking me out, because I haven’t been able to go without a bra since I was like, 10 and got boobs! The seamstress took in only the waist so it is more supportive and sewed cups in. I also have straps on my dress. My boobs look great! I did get some of those ‘lift up’ stick on cups things, but they made me look like a porn star, and I don’t want to give grandma a coronary!
