Ooh, I love Pachelbel’s Canon! That’s such a romantic, elegant choice 🙂

For mine I had a pianist who played Wagner’s “Wedding March” during my walk, because I wanted to keep that traditional. For the bridesmaids’ walk, I chose one of my personal favorites: Horner’s “Rose,” which is basically the background music to the drawing scene of the movie Titanic. The funny thing is, I hadn’t considered it and was stressing over the same question as you, until one night the song played in one of my dreams. I fell in love right there, and the pianist played it so beautifully while the girls were walking that the music alone made me almost cry before it was my turn!

I have it here from a recorded live stream (it’s a bit skippy and not as good as in person, but you’ll get the idea). You can just skip to 1:53 to get directly there 🙂

So if you’re a fan of that kind of soft, elegant music (whether or not you like the movie) I totally recommend that song. Otherwise, try listening in to music around you and drawing inspiration from songs, soundtracks, etc. that you like. You never know what you’ll find!

@mrsztobee:  the songs dont have to be the same style.. not saying to go totally differerent, but dont limit yourself because you are trying to find a song that goes EXACTLY with that. Canon in D is super “bridal but somewhat dramatic,

are you only considering instrumental?

“Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” is nice for bridesmaids. I also like “Ode to Joy”, Bach’s “Air on a G String” with Canon in D. You can pace them out nicely to set the same tone as Canon.
