I need help with chair decor ideas for these boring plastic chairs my venue is providing:

I’ve found several things on pinterest but they look like they only work on chairs with some sort of lip or squared off chairs. I’m having trouble trying to design around a chair with a rounded top!
I really like:

But I’ll be doing all the decorating myself and that seems incredibly time consuming / would that stay on a chair with a rounded back?
And I love this

But again no chair lip! How would that stay on neatly like this? Ahhh! Please help! No tulle bows please.

i’ll have the same chairs for my ceremony. My plan is to make a garland to hang on the back row only to give an illusion all chairs are decorated. I’m doing a southern/Louisiana/New Orleans theme, so my garland will be made of magnolia leaves. Heres an example:

That’s nice! Are you just hanging the garland on the sides on the chair? [Wondering where you’re knotting it on] What are you doing for the reception?

@un-bridezilla: We had chairs like that for our ceremony and put DIY tissue poms on the chairs lining the aisle. (I wasn’t too concerned with dressing them all up.) It was quick and easy and fit our “bright and colorful” color theme.

That’s a good idea and I love making those poms!

@un-bridezilla: You could also make these cute little slipcovers for just the back of the chair. You don’t even have to sew- you can use fabric glue on 3 sides. It doesn’t matter that the top is rounded. I have made them with napkins and placemats I found at the Dollar store.

You could do something like this using regular chair ties in your colors [chair sashes are pretty cheap.. I think I paid like $3/12]
