My boyfriend is about to buy my e-ring, but I am torn between two. The first is a 2ct cushion cut moissy with halo and the other is a 2ct cushion cut moissy solitare. I love the look of the halo but the stone is big enough to stand on it’s own. Not sure if the halo will be too much on my size 6.25 finger. Both rings are from Rosado’s Box. Please help!!!
Feel free to show off your rings :)!!

They are both beautiful, but I’m personally not a fan of halos. None of us can answer if it’s “too much” for your finger, that’s completely personal preference and level of comfort. If you mean “too much” sparkle, just be aware that moissanites sparkle different than diamonds/other gems, especially at your carat level. I’m sure bee’s with moissys can give input on this. It’s not bad, just different, unless you don’t like that color of sparkle. Youtube some videos!

Both are BEAUTIFUL and I’m sure you’d be happy with either. My personal preference is for solitaires rather than halos, but again, that’s just personal preference. My engagement ring is also from Rosado’s Box (it’s coming in the next week! Eeeek!), and I ordered a 7.5mm solitaire for a size 7 finger.

I prefer the solitaire, I think it is classic and timeless! Of course, I’m biased since I have a solitaire myself 😉
I think that the solitaire would have good finger coverage as well. I’m a size 5.75 with a 1.7 carat diamond, and here are some pics of how my ring faces up. I have a much thicker band (4mm at the crown), and with the thinner band that you’re looking at, it will make the center stone “pop” even more!
Oh, and one last thing before pictures. If you want to see how your stone will face up on your finger, if you know the dimensions of the solitaire and the halo, you can plug in that info on this site to see how it looks on your size finger! http://www.diamdb.com/

I like it without the halo. X

I have a halo and love it (oval stone), but for that specific ring I prefer the first one! It looks more clean and classic.

The solitare is so pretty! The halo is a little too much IMO.

I love halos, but I think for that ring the solitare is the way to go. It’s perfect, timeless, and beautiful. 🙂

I like the solitaire. Not a huge fan of halos in general, I think the solitaire is much more classic and elegant

I like both! lolz…hmm maybe I like the one w/out the halo a tiny bit more?

Your ring is beautiful! And thank you for the information, I have been looking for something that would help me better see the size on my finger and that is perfect.

I am a solitaire fan, not a halo fan, so I adore the solitaire. Makes the center stone shine!

I love halos and have one myself, but in this case I would go for the solitaire.
