I think your current colors are fine if you want ypu could switch the cream to a soft grey to compliment the black in the same way the cream does the brown

StasieFaith:  Well, hey, those are my wedding colors too! Except we have grey in there. Black just seemed to drown out our lighter colors. A such, we’re just asking the guys to wear grey or brown (suit, pants with suspenders and a tie, whatever, as long as they look dressed up enough) with some hint of garnet in their attire – whether it be pants or a pocket square – and then we’re having them all wear dark brown shoes and belts. This way they don’t have to rent suits or buy too much.

I was about to say: Grey suits could work well, or tan ones if you can find them. Another suggestion is to not have suits and do the suspenders and a white shirt. I love those and it fits the rustic theme.

Otherwise, my friend is doing the burgundy, orange, green and black for hers. 🙂

StasieFaith:  I think you are overthinking. Black, cream and champagne are all neutrals. They will all go with anything. I would keep your colors- perhaps amp up the amount of gold, or include lighter shades in the garnet family like pink and rose.

StasieFaith:  I am beginning to believe that finding attractive brown or navy suits for weddings is just an urban legend! I know so many friends who experienced that frustration!

I agree with PP that you could keep the original scheme and substitute black for the brown. A dark neutral helps ground most color schemes. To be fair, a friend of mine had a navy, blush and gold wedding and all of the men in the bridal party wore black. It wasn’t exactly on theme but it wasn’t distracting.

Just in case you really want something different, I thought this color scheme was rich and could be rustic: http://www.fabmood.com/blackberry-burgundy-plum-autumn-wedding/ I would keep your gold/champagne tone and add it to this. The blackberry tone looks almost black on my computer.

Best of luck!

StasieFaith:  These colors are gorgeous! I’m a sucker for a black suit, totally classic. Do not fret, this will be beautiful.

StasieFaith:  Yay! You have no idea how happy that makes me!! I’ve loved that color scheme for a while and couldn’t end up using it for my own wedding. I am so excited someone else sees how pretty it could be! I think the black suits will totally be swoon-worthy with the rich berry tones.

Best of luck!

aeiloveu:  This is my color scheme! I love it although people don’t always seem to get it.
