@lollipop27:  First of all Maggie Sottero -Emma is a gorgeous dress! I looked on here for the color (it’s shown in light gold). I really do not see that much gold in it.

Second, do NOT worry about the lady in the shop. It is not her place to decide you colors and definitely not her place to tell you what colors would look good together.

Third, a lot of people here in the states use yellow and gray together. I think it’s a beautiful color theme.

I also think that the Emma dress is so pale gold, it will not make a difference, especially if you’re bridesmaids are wearing gray. If they were wearing yellow, then I’d say to go a different route.

yellow gold and grey …. whats wrong with that?? Id put the girls in yellow and really play up the gold accent. Id put the men in grey suits … maybe even add a navy like below for their ties or maybe just a darker grey.

I swear most bridal shop assistants should be fired

I really like your theme…don’t pay any attention to the woman at the shop.  Look online (google images, pinterest, here on WeddingBee, etc) and you will find plenty of gorgeous weddings in your theme/color palette.

I’d stick with what you have…for flowers, I might have the maids carry white with subtle pops of yellow.  Yellow flower for the men…white for you tied with gold ribbon and fastened with pearls to play off your gown.  Just some thoughts…

I don’t think you need to change a thing. Ignore that woman. Gold and yellow are int he same color family. Why wouldn’t they work together? And yellow looks fabulous with grey.
