I think it can only be done if there’s enough fabric in the back for one side to overlap the other.

I mean, you can add buttons to anything. Most buttons on wedding dresses aren’t actually functional. But I think they would look odd with a corset back. So you’d have to see if you can convert the corset to a zipper back. And I think that can only be done if you order it so that there is enough fabric that the two halves come together (so you don’t see the modesty panel behind the corset at all. Then installing a zipper should be fairly easy for an experienced seamstress. Then you can just easily add buttons along one side of the zipper.

its the exact same dress as ive chosen and am really wanting to change it to a button and zip back.

i fell in love with mori lee 1862 but the shop advised me against the dress as the low back wouldnt give me enough support at the top (f cup).

i eventually chose this dress which i do love but the back just reminds me of what im missing.

i know i can have a corset inset into the dress and hoping she agrees to change the back.
