I think they’re cute! The last two are my favourite 🙂

I’m not being rude, but you’re comparing your real self to the (as I call them) “MySpace/FB head shots.”

A downward angle self taken photo NEVER looks the same as a full on shot. I don’t think you look bad AT ALL in the pro pics, if anything I think you look better in them than in the self taken ones.

you have some nice pics! i think if youre not happy with your look….change it! there are hair styles that make your face look slimmer. also if you would have done some pics without your glasses. i think your glasses are the first thing i noticed when i looked at your pics. they are cute but they are a big factor to your facial features. of course makeup can help you “change” your look but go for the natural look not too much makeup!

The only things that are bothering me about the pro photos are 1) that piece of hair…yeah, its just throwing things off and 2) the darkness of your transition lenses. I think that might be throwing off the proportionality of your face.

Also, the 4th pic down is just a bad angle.

I love the 3rd pic down though.

@MissFireFlower:

I don’t think your face is pudgy! Most people don’t know how to pose like the pros in front of a camera and just kind of come out awkward sometimes. I don’t mind my face in the mirror either, but in front of a camera, some goofy look comes across my face and I hate it. lol!

Like in your 4th photo, it’s not your face so much as it is your position. If you hold your chin up and push your shoulders back, the “pudge” would dissappear. There’s funny pics of twigs like Nicole Kidman online with huge double chins from an unapproved popparrazi angle. If you look at those, you’ll feel so much better lol

I think they are cute pictures. You are gorgeous! We’re always our own worst critic. My only criticism is that the lenses of your glasses look a little dark. Are they teh transitions lenses? I used to have a pair and they always look grey-ish in photos. I totally understand thinking your face is pudgy in photos. I was just at a conference and took a bunch of photos with people and when I was looking at tehm today I kept thinking about how awful I looked. To make matters worse, I’m on Prednisone (a steroid) right now and it makes my face soooo round.

I think they are adorable! I do think the transition lenses may have played a part in you not liking them. They kind of stand out,  But regardless I love the pictures! :))

I think the photographer did not pose you in the most flattering positions but overall they’re quite nice. We’re always our own biggest critics.

I second the comment on the glasses, they overpower your face, and the tint is so dark in some of the pics. I love the one of you and your son, your beautiful!

I’m sorry you don’t like your pictures, but the pictures are cute!  You especially look great in the second to last one.

Your photographer should have fixed your hair.  I think many photographers have forgotten that it’s their job to make people look good – as in, telling them how to place their bodies, chins, and hands or fixing details like collars or wisps of hair.  They used to do this more in the past, but now it seems with digital photography they just take 200 pictures and hope one comes out well.

I’m not photogenic at all and when I see pictures of myself I feel the same way.  Me, I prefer to think I look like the girl in the mirror and that cameras really hate me for some reason.  haha

I think you’re beautiful. To be honest, I looked through the pictures before reading, I always do that. And I couldn’t for the life of me figure out what was wrong with the pics! Then I read your post and thought “no way!”

I think you’re definitely prettier in the photoshoot! I love how happy you look, and how shiny your hair is. you have beautiful skin, and wow that smile is gorgeous! and you have kind eyes too. I’m afraid the cam pics look a bit mainstream to me. As one pp said, it’s a “myspace pic”.
