I have finally found my venue! The food there totally rocks. The meat was so unbelieveably tender and juicy. The sides were out of this world. Their chicken parm made me want to cry. I am now in love with oatmeal pie!
You can skip this part…
The place was immaculate. The staff was friendly and attentive. Their prices are astounding. I have been praying for some time for the perfect place. God must have created this place just for me! I so wanted good food as most of our guest are traveling over four hours to be there but was totally sweating the potential cost. Another big worry was the alcohol. Alot of venues said we had to have an open bar which as FH is a pastor wasn’t at all a possibilty for us. (He would lose his ordination.) Then I found this place http://www.oakhursttearoom.com/banquets.asp
…and pick up here:
We will use the Jack & Jillian package + extras but have to choose a room. For my winter wonderland wedding, do I want to use the top of the tea room or the spangler room? Both are available. What do you all think?
Eeeek I am so excited!

I like top of the tea roombest, more option for setup. The other seems a little too cozy.

I’m going against the grain but I love the Spangler room. It depends on the feel you are going for with your wedding.

it really kind of depends on the feel/theme for your wedding. The first is more intimate, the second seems like a run of the mill banquet room and the last is in between.

I love the warmth of the spangler room. I am having a winter wedding as well, but I am staying away from blue, snow flakes etc… I want it to feel cozy and warm. But it totally depends what kind of feeling you want. If you’re doing the ice blue, snowflake kind of theme, perhaps the tea room is best, if you want a fire/ice kind of feel then I would say the spangler. If you want all the way warm, then def spangler.

I like Top of the Tea room but one thing you didn’t mention is how many guests are you inviting? That can make a difference in the rooms.

Hmm good question. I am hoping to keep it at just under 150 people. We will see.
