So I really love this Australian designer Anna Campbell, but she is only sold in one boutique in the U.S. and it is in Texas and I live in NYC so I would have to fly there to try it on or phone order it. Her Ivory collection runs from $500-$1500. I also recently fell in love with this Hayley Paige dress style Nina 6254. This is available in NYC. This style is $2600. My fiance gave me a budget of $3000 for my drress, but I would actually like to stick to $1500 or less. It just irks me to spend that much money on a dress only worn for a few hours and I figured the extra money could be used somewhere else. Do I spend a little more on the Hayley Paige? Or do I stick with the Anna Campbell dresses. Both are within in budget, but one is significantly less. I can’t decide if just purely based on style if I like one more than the other. I am truly torn. Help me out!

I voted for Anna Campbell but because I actually likethem better (at least in the pics). But depending how they look on you I would pick whichever looks best since this is your one time to go all out on a dress!

I love the last one! That’s th. hailey Paige, right? Wish I could say go with the cheaper ones, but I love the straps on the last one.

I would never buy a wedding dress I couldn’t try on, so I’d go with the second one since it’s available in NYC.

I voted for the first one, the back is beautiful but my favorite is the Hayley, it is beautiful, but I wouldn’t want to spend that much on a dress either!

Wowzah….The Hayley is amazing!! It’s your day, spend the $$ – especially since your fiance said it’s in budget. He wants you to get your perfect dream dress!! I didn’t go over budget on my dress, but I would have if I needed to. (My dress was $1800 and I had a budget of $2000). In my opinion, the others don’t even compare to the Hayley.

@mrsSonthebeach: I agree. My friend’s brother works for an airline so he was going to get my mom and I free plane tickets to Austin, TX where the Anna Campbell dresses are to try on if I wanted. Although my fiance says just order it via phone. I told him he was crazy!

@Legendre2014: Okay seriously. I LOVE the back on the 2nd dress (not too crazy about the front tho) but the hailey page also looks amazing in front (and I wish the back was more detailed)
overall, I would pick the Hailey Page… but I would look for a used one or a sample!
Also, try them on! They could look different on you and phone orders are scary!

I love the last one! It’s softer and more romantic, I think, especially with the detail on the back. The second one looks like butterly or angel wings to me

I like the last one sooooo much more. Have you tried this style on? Do you know it works for you? 🙂

@Legendre2014: That back on the Hailey Page is gorgeous, but it would be easy to replicate (add whisper thin silk tulle or chiffon) if you find a back dress that is similar.
I hate the Petal back dress’ back. It is extremely odd and not in an interesting way.
You want a fitted, unstructured dress. You can have this made by a dress maker.
Oh I know this isn’t the same thing, but have you look at J Crew dresses? Get one of those and add you own blingly accents in belts and straps. Still, I don’t think that they are $1500, they can run more.
Also, really the first question should be: have you actually tried on this style of dress? I always think that these are extremely lovely, but few here on WB seem to choose them.

That Hayley Paige is my dress, so I’d say go with the other. HA!! But seriously it’s a wonderful dress!!! It’s really beautiful in person too. Lovely Lovely

@MrsSanchizel: Lol! Don’t we all wish we could have a custom designed dress that only we get to wear. That is one thing I like about the Anna Campbell dreses. Few U.S. brides will be wearing them. I also have thought about going the custome route, but that scares me a bit too since many times that can look a lot different from you envision in your head.
