My wedding is quickly approaching in June 2016. I’ve been dress shopping and have completely fallen in love with the designer Hayley Paige, however, I’m torn between two of her dresses! So I thought I would ask you fellow brides for your opinions! I need to make my decision like yesterday so I truly value any input. On the left is the ‘Nicoletta’ and the right is the ‘Chantelle’

Truthfully, I don’t think either do much for you. You’re very pretty and seem to have a great figure. I like the skirt on the second one, but don’t love the tops of either. In a pinch I suppose the second.

I agree with pp. Both are just ok. I feel like your figure is not being truly flattered by either dress. It’s the tops on both. Neither are doing you any justice. Probably a good seamstress could remedy that. But if these are the choices, I think #1 is better. Something about the top on #2 just bothers me.

Honestly, I agree. You would look great in a potato sack, but I have seen Hayley Paige dresses I prefer over these 2. However, I think the second would look worlds better without the floral appliques on the skirt, if those could be removed. They make it look a bit busy, In My Humble Opinion.

I agree that I like the second one better. I think it will look amazing when fitted and altered to fit your body. You look beautiful btw!!

Neither really. But if I HAD to chose i pick the left one.

I am biased because I was a Hayley Paige bride, and the Nicoletta gown (especially in the alabaster color) is my favorite gown of hers that she has released since I purchased my own gown. From these pictures, though, I’d say I prefer the Chantelle on you, but as others have noted, I think that’s based on how the bodices of the sample are fitting you – the Nicolette definitely looks big in the top.

Love the skirt of both dress, hate both of the top. I think you can find something more flatteing especially with a figure like yours!

I like the Chantelle on you better ( though yes, the bodice does need some attention )
I’m not quite sure why so many people think this style is unflattering on you. Perhaps because so many people prefer tightly fitted dresses ? I think you look ethereal and lovely in the two pictured .

which hp dress did you wear? I just love her collections!

thank you! I definitely like the fuller skirts. My sister was just recently married and she wore a mermaid style dress, so I don’t want the same style as her. Plus, my fiancé is a bit more traditional. That’s why I love HP’s collection, it has some traditional elements with a touch of edginess… very soft & whimsical. Thank you for your thoughts!

I like Hayley Paige’s styles and your figure would look good in most dresses, but I think the first one is far too ‘little girly’ for you (a bit like the fairy on top of the Christmas tree). You look like a sophisticated woman and I’d love to see you in something that reflects that better, whilst still having the volume in the skirt that you love. The second one is more adult and the deep neckline gives it a sexiness/ edginess that the first one doesn’t have. Also, I really do like the detail on the skirt, which I’m sure is even better close up. I’m not a fan of tiers in rows but this has been designed really elegantly to avoid that. Stick to your guns and don’t have a mermaid dress just because people tell you to show off your figure- ballgowns can look lovely on anyone and they are a classic. You’ll be a beautiful bride.

I prefer the one on the left. I think the slightly lower waist is more flattering on you and makes your waist look smaller, and I prefer the more structured shape the tulle gives the skirt – this also makes your waist look smaller.
