@reesie2013:  do you know what designers the hop carries to kinda help narrow it down?

@reesie2013:  Do you remember the price?  That would narrow it down even more.

I don’t know much about dress shops, but could you just go in (or send a friend as a spy) and look at the tag on the sample on the rack?

Or tell them that you have no interest in purchasing a dress without knowledge of the designer beforehand and go look somewhere else. I wouldn’t put up with shady sales tactics like that.

Personally I wouldn’t trust a store that tells me I can’t know the designer! That seems sketchy. If they are truly giving you a good price, it shouldn’t matter because it’s not like you would go out and buy it somewhere else. If they are a reputable company they should just tell you! Best of luck…

@reesie2013:  DO NOT buy from this store!!!!!!!!  There is absolutely NO reason that a reputable store would not tell you the designer of the dress before purchasing it.  There’s something fishy going on here.

Not to mention, there should be nothing stopping you from looking at the tag while you’re getting in the dress.  Did they cut the tag out or something?!  They could then just sew it on any old dress!  Please please do not buy from this store without doing A TON more research.

I just wanted to add that I had a similar issue with the shop I found my dress at. They didn’t want to give me info on the dress so I posted a picture and the Bees helped me identify that it was Jasmine’s Bridal Shop and the style number. In store it would have cost $800, but after looking around I was able to buy it from a shop in Quebec City, Canada for $350!

So get it online if you can as it is cheeper and that way you don’t have to deal with this annoying store. Best of luck!
