Hi! I just bought this dress and need your opinions. I am very petite (5 feet tall, 100 lbs) and always dreamed of lace/tulle/organza. I tried on dresses at 5 different stores and ended up choosing this one at the last store (not sure if I picked it bc I was exhausted). It’s not what I pictured but it was much more flattering than the tulle and lace gowns which overwhelmed my small frame. I think I love it but am having a hard time because its nothing I pictured myself in…help please! Maybe others have bought something different than they envisioned?

That dress is really flattering on you and I think you made a great choice! Do you have pics of the other dresses to compare?

I 100% can relate to you not going for a dress you had envisioned.
My ‘dream’ dress looked like a big ol’ lace and tulle affair, but when it came to tryin them on these kind of dresses just made me look like a child dressing up (I have a baby face) and my vision soon changed. I went for a dress that I kept skipping past in the shop and the assistant MADE me try it on. It was a dream (though not my origional dream) come true.
I wouldn’t worry as this dress is amazingly suited to your figure. You look great!

@Hocwing2: You look great in the dress! Once you add hair and makeup the whole look will be stunning. I think you made a great choice

I think it’s gorgeous and it looks stunning on you! It’s quite common for brides to have a vision in mind for their wedding dress but find that something else is more flattering to their figure and coloring when they get to the store.

Love it! You don’t know what type of dresses are going to look good on you until you try them on so I think it’s normal to alter what you thought you wanted.
Dress regret is normal too, just wait until you get it in in your size and it will be perfect! 🙂

I think it looks great on you and it happens alot that you end up choosing a dress that is completely different than what you thought you would get!! But it honesty does look amazing on you!!

I think it’s a beautiful dress and suits you really well! When I started my dress search I didn’t even want to try on anything that wasn’t fishtail all over lace with straps and detailed cups.
I ended up with an a-line tulle dress with very simple cups and no straps! Still getting used to the no lace but think I made the right choice for my body. I think you need to try it on a few more times when you get a chance and imagine yourself at your venue, with your Fiance and with your flowers etc. Then the dress will become more ‘your own’ and you’ll see how lovely it looks on you 🙂

Absolutely! Never fear! You will be a totally gorgeous bride!

I had dress confusion also. I think it’s pretty normal. I think the dress looks wonderful on you! I also envisioned myself in a romantic sort of spanish style lace dress and I ended up purchasing a dress covered in tulle!!

I think the dress is beautiful on you! I had the same issue. I pictured myself in something totally different from what I ended up picking. I think that’s what made the shopping so hard for me. I kept wanting to try on what I pictured but it didn’t match the overall feel of the wedding I was going for. I wanted a dress very similar to what you picked (trumpet with a hint of beading), but I ended up picking a flowy chiffon sheath. Being petite as well, I liked lace in pictures, but not so much on.
