Yes. I’ve made many shapes for various homecoming floats in college. You’ll need a wooden frame, chicken wire and squares of paper mache and lots of glue. Construct a wooden support frame and use your chicken wire to sculpt your heart shape. Apply glue to the chicken wire and “poke” the paper mache into the holes. It’ll give that fluffy effect that your picture has. Good luck!

@mcgoo:  i am going to make it with my fiancee and we will make the heart in four pieces with chicken wire, then we will make the tissue paper parts on the day before the wedding at the venue when we put it together!! we are making the heart in four parts so we can travel with it then set it up on the stage at our reception!!!

 

ill definitely post pics once we do it.. but that wont be til next year hehe
