I used a “Brides” invite kit (from Michael’s) and absolutely LOVE how they turned out. But I’m running into a couple quality issues and I’m hoping one of you lovely bees can offer advice.
1) The paper in the kit is textured — which is lovely! — however, even after having my Uncle who runs a Xerox company help me print (he changed the setting to “heavyweight” so it set better in the grooves) — it still has a tendency to smudge if you rub it or scratch it, with a little force. I’m worried they’ll get banged all around in the mail and arrive un-readable. I’m also concerned the RSVP cards will smear as they write on them or shove them in the little envelope to send them back.
2) The labels on the front won’t stick well no matter how much I press them down and go over the edges. I assume this is because the outside envelope in the kit is also slightly textured and it doesn’t get a good seal.
Any ideas on how to better “seal” the ink or the labels? More glue for labels maybe, but I’m stumped on how to preserve the text.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!
