I went to my “8 week” check up on April 19th and they told me I was actually 11 weeks. Right now Im 12 weeks 2 days. my next appointment is on may 23rd.. These appointments were all made when I was “4 weeks”…. So I think I’ll be about 15ish at my next appointment. Do I call and schedule sooner? I don’t want to miss nuchal testing or any other tests… I’m confused and don’t know what to do. I’m actually guessing I’m 12 weeks because my due dAte went from Nov. 30th to Nov. 4th.. And after she told me that she didn’t tell me how far along I was.. I should have asked but I think I was shocked…

@ms.melli: If you want an NT scan you need to call about it. It needs to be done before your 13th week is over.

Have you called your doctor’s office to ask? Sorry, I’ve never been pregnant so I don’t know the answer but that’s what I would do in your shoes.
Congrats on the baby!!

I would definitely call to make sure you’re still on schedule.

The normal appointment would be 4 weeks from the last appointment, but if you want an NT scan or early first trimester testing (whatever they call it in your area), you will need to call to schedule that immediately.

I think I would at least ring up and ask that because your due date has been changed that whether you need to change your appointments.

Yep, if you want the NT scan you need to get it done before your 13th week is over so I would definitely call the doctor’s office. Also, there are other option sequential screens that need to be done about now, so look into it ASAP!
Don’t freak out if you can’t get them though. We opted out of all optional tests, including the NT.

When they first say how far along you are, it’s by your last missed period. Once you’ve gone, they go by how your uterus is measuring. If they said you are 12 weeks 2 days now, schedule sooner.

don’t stress it hunn, they know what they are doing and when, it happens to almost everyone, they give you a due dat and then anothere one…all i can say is be ready once your on your last month no matter what day it is… They are the experts and know if they didn’t get something done this week it will get done the next or within a few days…. i say leave it up to them and just sit back and enjoy your pregnancy.

If they felt you needed the NT scan they would have said something at your last apt. It doesn’t hurt to call and ask about it but if they don’t recommend it then it would be considered elective and most insurance companies will not cover elective tests.
