Torn between these two very different styles, would love your input ☺️ Note: the emerald is not set, which is why prongs look huge and odd.
1) Double Halo split shank band with Round center
pros: love the shine and finger coverage of the double halos and split shank (I have long size 8 fingers). Center stone appears larger.
cons: too blingy? Does it look like I’m trying too hard to make center stone appear larger. Love the stack look and won’t be able to find a wedding band that stacks well with the split shank. The center round stone we can afford is slightly warmer tone than halos, the difference probably only noticeable to me, but whatever, still there. Could also get more affordable cut in better color? Also, halos almost outshine center stone
2) Pave band with emerald cut diamond
pros: love the minimal style of this – modern, clean, unique, more my personality. Would stack well with matching band.
cons: thick band makes center stone appear smaller. Pricy emerald, emeralds should be better quality as imperfections show easier. Pave band has overall less shine than other ring; seems it would get “dirty” quicker

Are these your only 2 options? I’d (personally) prefer either the first ring in a single halo, or the emerald cut in a thinner band, but that’s just me!

Emerald cut ring with thinner prongs ( I can see the stone is just sitting in the setting now, veeery pretty stone too).

Could you get the emerald with a thinner band? Would you like it with a thinner band? I think that the band competes with the emerald, but I like the emrald more than the double halo style.

Emerald stone, thinner band.

I like the halo! Although perhaps I’m just struggling to visualise the other one as it isn’t set yet xo

Love the halo !! But that my be because it’s almost identical to my ring !!

I voted for the first because the second is a band that’s too wide for me, personally. I think a thinner band would flatter the emerald more.

Could you do a double halo with a thin, pave band? That way you can stack to your heart’s content.

I have fallen in love with an emerald cut so I voted emerald however I agree that a thinner band would complement the stone so much better. A single halo with the emerald cut is beautiful too. It doesn’t take away from the center stone and would give you the finger coverage AND looks lovely with the stacked look.

You said the second one was more your personality, which says it all for me. Your ring should be a reflection of who you are. I do agree that emeralds show inclusions much more readily, but I do think the way its set down in the band will help with that. Have you considered setting it with a rectangular radiant cut instead? A radiant also might hold it’s own against the band better.
Just an example of a radiant:
