The dress either needs to be altered to fit properly (with the proper boning for supprt) or you need to add straps. Otherwise, I see a wardrobe malfunction in your near future.

@julies1949:  I agree and think this is your only options.

I think you also need to find a good strapless bra!

No, they need to alter it better. If they can’t do it properly, find someone else.

It looks like your seamstress altered the sashed part to the smallest part of your waist, which is actually lower than you want it to be at based on your body shape.  I think you need it re-altered :/  And at a different shop since the first shop did it wrong.  Your dress doesn’t look that much heavier than your average wedding dress, it should really be do-able!

@soy:  Good.. I hope they can fix it. Your dress is too beautiful to have to get a reception dress.

Can you find a long line strapless bra that fits really well, then have it stitched to the inside of the dress? Then maybe it can help hold up the top of the dress.

It looks like the cup part is too small for your bust (asking for the neckline to be raised a bit might have solved this issue when you had ordered it). Try a longline bra that minimizes and get it sewn into your dress.

@soy: When it falls down, will it reach a spot and sit there or does it keeeep goooing until you were exposed? I feel like I kind of have the same issue as you where not enough breast is covered, but my dress wont budge once it sits on my waist. Here are pics from my last fitting so you can see. I’m a little uncomfy with the chest area and how much is exposed, but the dress wont move unless I try to pull it higher.  If you look at the last picture, I feel like we would have the same fit if you picture my dress with a sweetheart.

Final fitting!! 13 days to go!!!

it needs to be taken in at the top of the zipper about 2-3 inches so that it fits more snug.  keep in mind that over the course of the day, your dress will relax even more.

i had to have some last minute alterations on my dress in the same area.  i could barely breath when it was done up but after an hour, it was fine.

@soy:  oh no, if it keeps falling then that is a big fat nope. Take the dress somewhere else asap.
