I feel like there’s a bunch of other dresses out there that look like the Allure – if you try other brands I bet you could find something VERY similar.

I wouldn’t get the Maggie.  You only sorta like it.

I agree.  Keep looking.  Don’t buy/order any dress under duress.

I agree with KristenGettingMarried that overall design is very similar to others including several Maggie Sottero and Sottero Midgley (Adorae) dresses. You could try on those similar in style to see if you like how it looks on your body.

It isn’t so close to the wedding that you should start freaking out. Make appointments at bridal shops and try on lots of dresses. You can’t decide from looking at a picture! Different styles will look good on you depending on your body shape. Don’t order a dress you don’t absolutly love and never order anything unless you’ve tried some version of it on.

Have you tried calling the Arizona dress shops??? There are alot of stores here that carry Allure. I wouldn’t settle for a dress you sort of like. You will most likely regret it.

I think you should buy your dream dress! If you have a gut feeling I say go with it, but deffinitely don’t settle on one of the biggest days of your life. About 2 months ago I ordered a dress I fell in love with just from a picture! Not only have I not tried it on, I haven’t even seen it in person! I was sure of the silhouette though… I had tried on many similar styles and saw dresses from the same designer to check the quality and only then did I feel comfortable enough to order. It hasn’t gotten here yet, but I took a risk because I felt it was right for me. Only you can know for sure if you really love it enough… Good luck! The dress is gorgeous!

Keep looking. Do not order a dress without trying it on and do not settle for a dress you aren’t sure you love.

i think you should keep looking, and when you go the bridal salons, dont be too specific about a style that yu want.. i said i want to wear allure 8801 on my wedding date because it looked stunning on the model, some other people..but i tried and tried dresses but never allure8801 because no salon had it that i went to, end once the consultant pulled demetrios for me..that was it..i did not want to get it off..it was dream come true..

keep on looking, until you fall in love..of course with limited time that you have

    good luck

i hate to say it, but if all else fails, Davids Bridal carries a ton of Off the rack dresses you can purchase same day. Hopefully your dress comes in on time and fits perfectly though (cuz i would never wish a David’s bridal dress on anyone – except maybe the Vera Wang line…)!!

Try not to worry too much!  I am getting married in March and got engaged in September.  I had a similar freak-out moment because the stores all told me that I had to order right away because my dress wouldn’t get in  until January.  WELL…I took a minute to breathe and gave myself some time.  Unfortunately, like you, the dress I loved was not availabe to try on in stores ANYWHERE because the designer had not released samples sizes to stores yet.  I also had to put down a deposit (50% which is still scary).  I tried on dresses as similar to the style as I could, really focusing on different parts of the dress and trying to duplicate that aspect in a dress (material, skirt line, waist line, etc) and then just went ahead and ordered it.  Nothing else I had seen or tried on came close to being “the dress” the way that one did.  By the way, my dress is ALREADY here…so much for not getting it until January.  Haha.  Well, I ended up loving it.  Good luck!!
